Photographer and Music Journalist

Available for bookings and freelance requests

Biography

For over a decade, my photography has developed into a personal and profound practice with a diversified portfolio that I’m incredibly proud of. I first started taking photographs using a Fujifilm bridge camera at a pretty young age (12) and began shooting local gigs around the Bristol music scene at the age of 14, sneaking my camera into venues hidden under my armpit on many occasions. After studying both A-level and Level 3 UAL photography at college, my love of photographing musicians and the alternative music scene prompted me to move to Brighton and study at BIMM to obtain my BA (Hons) degree in Music Journalism. I began studying for my MA Photography degree a year later with the hopes of elevating my work to the next level, and graduated in 2022.

I now reside in Somerset, and am looking to take on local projects, photoshoots, bookings, and potential freelance opportunities to schedule in around my full-time job working for Digital Camera World. I’m available for collaborations across the UK, and willing to travel. In my spare time I enjoy gaming, mostly story-based and role-playing titles on Playstation 5, plus anything Pokemon related on my Nintendo Switch, whilst eating cheesecake in a baggy shirt. My absolute favourite thing to do is nap during the day with my dog.

It is very important to me that my photographic work is inclusive, featuring models of all backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations and ethnicities. Although I may specialise in areas such as live music and portraiture, I enjoy shooting a range of subjects and I’ll photograph everything from animals to architecture, taking on any photographic brief or challenge that you choose to present me with while keeping an open mind. I view photography as a collaborative effort between myself and the subject and will always do my best to make clients feel safe and respected when having their images taken, and work together to create exceptional content.

Moving forward, I aspire to continue my work surrounding portraiture within minority and excluded communities and sub-cultures, empowering non-binary and LGBTQIA+ individuals. Getting back to shooting live music and festival events is also a top priority following the pandemic, get me back in the photo pit please.

I look forward to working with you!
