Biography
For over a decade, my photography has developed into a personal and profound practice with a diversified portfolio that I’m very proud of. I first started taking photographs using a Fujifilm bridge camera at the age of 12, and began shooting local gigs around the Bristol music scene at the age of 14, sneaking my camera into venues hidden under my armpit on many occasions. After studying both A-level and Level 3 UAL photography at college, my love of photographing musicians and engaging with the alternative music scene prompted me to move to Brighton and study for a degree in Music Journalism between 2017-2020. I then went on to obtain a Masters degree in Photography a year later during the pandemic.
I now reside in Somerset, and am looking to take on local projects, photoshoots, bookings, and potential freelance opportunities to schedule in around my full-time job working as an ecommerce journalist. I’m available for collaborations across the UK, and willing to travel. Outside of work I enjoy gaming, mostly engrossed in story-based and role-playing titles on my Playstation 5, or anything Pokemon related on my Nintendo Switch. You’ll most likely find me on days off in a baggy shirt and eating cheesecake, or out with my dog.
It is very important to me that my photographic work is inclusive, featuring models of all backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations and ethnicities. Although I may specialise in areas such as live music and portraiture, I enjoy shooting a range of subjects and I’ll photograph everything from animals to architecture, taking on any photographic brief or challenge that you choose to present me with while keeping an open mind. I view photography as a collaborative effort between myself and the subject and will always do my best to make clients feel safe and respected when having their images taken, and hope we can work together to create exceptional content.
Moving forward, I aspire to continue my work surrounding portraiture within minority and excluded communities and sub-cultures, empowering non-binary and LGBTQIA+ individuals. Getting back to shooting live music and festival events is also a top priority, get me back in the photo pit please.
I look forward to working with you!
I am based in Somerset
More specifically…Weston-Super-Mare. There are lots of beautiful locations around Weston for shoots, but I am happy to travel depending on your requirements.
I also spend a lot of time in Bath for work, another great location with excellent scenery and beautiful buildings for elegant shots.
